guy goes on extended trip away from beloved girlfriend
guy does not communicate with beloved girlfriend whilst on extended trip
guy comes back from extended trip
guy STILL does not communicate with beloved girlfriend once back from extended trip
beloved girlfriend not happy
beloved girlfriend bit angry
beloved girlfriend send angry, angry SMS's
questions:
1. has the guy done anything wrong?
2. what is a realistic timeframe till guy should have communicated with beloved girlfriend?

1. Yes
2. Probably before he gets to the airport
he's just not that into you ...
Oh and ez, your timeframe is way too long, it should be more like this:
1. Before and after packing up for trip (wait, what am i saying, he should be on the phone whilst packing for the trip)
2. When he gets into taxi to airport.
3. Again when at airport waiting for the plane.
4. The minute he sits down on the plane.
5. Every 1,000 km travelled while on said plane.
6. Just before the "fasten your seatbelts" message comes on.
7. Immediatly after the plane has landed and he can use his phone again.
8. Whilst at airport checking out.
9. Okay i think you get my drift.
Oh and I realise it's that time of the month again, so just a disclaimer: the previous two posts were written in jest.

So far all the comments were made by males! My 1 cent's worth:
I guess the guy cannot be at fault for being slow to communicate, if he had some valid reason so…1) Depends 2) If he didn’t suffer from jet lag 1 day. Although, I used to suffer from “jetlag” for a week…
jetlag is never an excuse...sorry mich...call ur woman from the plane if you have to...
how hard can it be just to pick up the phone and say "hey honey...blah blah blah"...

i would've never figured out that the guys would turn on themselves and a chick would be defending the guy (besides phil)
just because some guys have no sense of what's going on at all, doesn't mean that every guy is the same.
you have to switch off your mobile phone on the plane!!
You use the phone on the plane...it might cost a lil more...but you can't put a price on love! =D
there is also before the plane, and after the plane.
everything has a price...including love! that's just the modern world ppl.
well is olga's peace of mind worth that price?
well i wasn't referring to Olga's piece of mind. i was actually referring to my mobile phone bill as the recipient and loyal friend that will respond to those angry, angry SMS's.
see even friendship has a price!
and how quick a name was thrown into this debate in naming the culprit! i would've thought the heartless boy would've remained anonymous.
