blubbering humdinger

after much consultation (ok argument) with my fellow viker helga, i have had a burst of inspiration. also because i'm sick of loading up the same title every time i check this blog!! so down to business, shall we?

WARNING: extreme sarcasm and cynicism involved.

today's rant is about...THE ONE. you know, the perfect person who complements your life and who, according to a friend of mine "has the least bad things about them". now we here at viking central (well, two of us anyway) don't really think there is THE ONE. there are many of them. currently, helga is on the lookout for her ONE so boys jump at the opportunity while it's there.

if there was only one of these perfect males, we would be spending our entire life just looking for the damn male. and what happens if you didn't find THE ONE? would you be doomed to spend your life lonely after having rejected all the others who came close but never really quite made the grade?

the way i see it, it's like finding your favourite type of chocolate. you have to go through all the other types to compare which one is really your favourite. the one that tantalises your tastebuds and is really just superior to all the other chocolates. ok not superior, but better suited to your tastes.

so forget the search for THE ONE. embrace the imperfections of THE MAYBE ONEs. ok so we're probably more prone to getting our hearts ripped out that way, but oh well. THE ONE may exist, but you'll be damn lucky to find him in this lifetime.

p.s. and why the hell do i have to look for THE ONE anyway? HE can come find ME!
